Traffic Engineering

We are heavily involved in projects concerning the field of traffic engineering, with an emphasis on problems connected to railroad engineering. In this sector, we have performed many projects dealing with stiffness and strength analysis of load-bearing structures up to and including topology and sizing optimizations. A special emphasis is given to fatigue analysis where we employ specialized software tools for quick and reliable predictions. On the fluid mechanics side of railroad design and construction, we simulate the external aerodynamic properties of engines and railcars as well as internal aspects such as climate control or spread of smoke and fire.
